Building a news scraping agent with n8n
This is from my presentation to the Boston AnyExcuse CMO group about how I’ve created modular AI workflows that automate the heavy lifting while keeping human strategy at the center.
My latest build: A news scraping agent that delivers weekly industry intelligence reports every Monday morning. It searches, ranks by authority, summarizes, and formats - all automatically.
The stack is surprisingly simple: → Claude for AI content intelligence → n8n for workflow orchestration → Tavily for reliable news sourcing
This isn’t about replacing marketers - it’s about amplifying our strategic value. When mundane tasks run themselves, we can focus on what actually moves the needle.
The key insight: Build modular, swappable workflows now. The AI tools will change, but smart automation frameworks will scale with you.
Happy to share my n8n workflow if you are interested in trying it yourself.
